Rontec was formed in 2011 by Gerald Ronson, 78, and now has 241 outlets — Esso, BP, Shell and Texaco petrol stations, as well as Shop’N Drive and Spar convenience stores. It plans to open 50 Morrisons-branded convenience stores this summer, after a successful trial with the supermarket. The Hertfordshire-based forecourt operator reported record sales of £999m in 2016, including fuel duty.
