Hertfordshire-based forecourt operator Rontec was formed in 2011 by Gerald Ronson, 81, to acquire the assets of Total Oil UK. It now has more than 250 outlets, which include Esso, BP, Texaco and Shell petrol stations — making it the UK’s third-largest independent fuel retailer — as well as Spar and Morrisons convenience stores.
