This Yorkshire firm says it is the largest own-brand producer of ice cream in Europe. It makes products for companies such as Tesco and has licence agreements with Nestlé, Kraft, Mars and Cadbury. Ibrahim Najafi, 56, was named chief executive in 2013 after private equity house PAI Partners acquired Oaktree Capital’s stake in R&R, valuing it at £715m. In May, the group acquired Peters, a leading Australian ice cream manufacturer, and refinanced £315m of its debt, amid reports that it is preparing for a stock market float.
