RTX provides an exchange that allows its 6,000 members — from the largest carriers in the world to smaller, niche telecoms operators — to buy and sell voice and SMS traffic. The company also supplies its platform to a number of larger operators as a white label service and plans to launch the option to buy and sell data traffic. Revenues, which include the value of telecoms traffic bought and sold, hit £55m in 2014. RTX was founded in 2007 by sales director Andrew Jacobs, 47, and chief technology officer Dave Roarty, 52, and is led by chief executive Albert Mackey, 54, founder of First National Telecom.
