Sabio (Spanish for “wise”) provides call centres for companies including Sainsbury’s, Axa Assistance and Telefonica. Private equity firm Horizon Capital invested £50 million for a majority stake in 2016, and the London-based group has since made nine acquisitions. Four were completed last year despite the pandemic, including contact centre technology companies in France and Spain. Led by chief executive Jonathan Gale, 51, international sales hit £42.5 million in 2019.
