Founder Carlo Distefano, 71, opened his first Italian restaurant in Birmingham in 1992, and with his 36 year old son Marcello, the group MD, has launched new brands Fumo, more of an evening bar offering, and Cichetti, selling tapas-style portions of Italian food. Profits hit £2.2m on sales of £39.4m in 2014.
