As a former central heating sales manager, Neville Wilshire, 53, felt that he could offer consumers a better way to save money on energy. Save Britain Money was founded in 2005 and now runs seven companies aimed at helping consumers and small businesses with energy costs, debt management and claims for mis-sold payment protection insurance. Based in Swansea, the company says it conducts 10,000 energy efficiency surveys a week. Its newest services were acquired, but the firm now wants to focus on organic growth. It expects a boost next year when the government’s Green Deal supporting improvements in home energy efficiency comes into effect.
