Founded in 1897 by bricklayers George and John Seddon, the building contractor is celebrating 75 years of running an apprentice scheme by taking on 75 trainees. The Cheshire firm is still run by the Seddon family, now the fourth and fifth generations, and sells services such as refurbishment and plant manufacture. Its chairman is Rod Sellers.
