Shire Leasing is both a broker and provider of leasing finance, mainly for office equipment. It links up with banks such as Abbey National and Bank of Scotland in 80% of the deals, and finances the rest itself. The Staffordshire company was founded by John Worton and Martin Smith in 1990. Its sales have grown almost 72% a year from £2.1m in 1999 to £10.8m in 2002, and have more than doubled this year.
