Simons Group

Simons began in 1944 repairing war-damaged runways throughout Lincolnshire. Once the company ran out of runway it became an established construction, property development and consultancy group. Still based in Lincoln it is run and owned by brothers Paul and Philip Hodgkinson, and clients include Asda, B&Q, Boots, RBS, House of Fraser and Debenhams. More recently, it has developed its green credentials, having won a number of environmental awards. In 2008 sales reduced to £188.1m as the business refocused on its core activities.
