When Abbey National wanted to link its 3,000 roaming employees to its head office, it awarded the contract to Sirocom, based in Surrey. Simon Rogan started the company in 1995 to sell network equipment but rapidly refocused on building secure private networks. Sirocom’s sales have grown 56% a year from £3.6m in 2000 to £8.9m in 2002.
