Simon Rogan started Sirocom in 1995 to resell network equipment but rapidly refocused on virtual private networks. Clients such as JD Sports and Fidelity Investments have helped sales grow 69% a year from £1.3m in 1998 to £6.4m in 2001, when the Surrey company had 32 staff.
