Flight search engine Skyscanner generates £3.5bn a year in ticket sales for the airlines it works with, helping it reach international sales of £21.2m in 2012. Two-thirds of visitors to the website are from overseas, a proportion that is set to rise after co-founder and chief executive Gareth Williams, 44, opened offices in Beijing, Singapore and Miami, increasing its coverage from 30 to 42 markets by the end of this year.
