Tech Track 100

Skyscanner’s flight search website has 42m users a month and the company features in Tech Track 100 for a sixth consecutive year. It has recently diversified to allow travellers to search for hotels rooms and car hire services in addition to booking flights. Sequoia Capital took a stake in 2013 in a deal that valued the Edinburgh business at £500m, and in 2014 Skyscanner acquired Chinese metasearch company Youbibi and Hungarian mobile app firm Distinction. Under co-founder and chief executive Gareth Williams, 46, sales increased to £92.9m in 2014.
