The Slush Puppie syrup and ice drink was created in Ohio in 1970. In 1974, Ralph Peters, 89, brought the concept to Britain, selling under licence. The High Wycombe firm has since sold more than 175bn Slush Puppie cups across Europe. Other brands in its portfolio include Tango Ice Blast and Fanta Frozen. Exports hit £10.2m in 2018, under managing director Mark Peters, 61, the founder’s son.
