Snax 24

Speedy shoppers have helped Snax 24 keep growing in the downturn. The Berkhamsted company operates petrol forecourts, including some that it runs for BP. It has scaled down its grocery offering to focus on efficient fuel sales, and is aiming to run more than 100 locations. Chairman and chief executive Gerald Ronson has also ventured into America with convenience store partnerships in two cities. Sales at the company rose to £229m in 2008.
