South Staffordshire supplies water to 1.6m households in the West Midlands and Cambridge at a price that it says is about three-quarters the industry average. Led by group chief executive Adrian Page, 49, it also provides specialist infrastructure contracting services and customer billing and debt management services for other utility firms. Private equity house KKR’s global infrastructure fund bought the firm last year for an undisclosed sum.
