Established in 1999 by Rajesh Passi as a knitwear house, this Manchester company now specialises in producing menswear. Its 15 designers look to mainland Europe, America and the Far East for inspiration, before the clothing of its four brands – Dissident, Tokyo Laundry, Saint & Sinner, and Cutting Edge – is produced in China and Bangladesh. With customers including high street retailers in France, Germany and Italy, international sales grew 23% a year from £12m in 2009 to £18.2m in 2011.
