More than 72,000 students from 170 countries enrolled in a Study Group programme this year. The company, which started life 20 years ago, partners with universities as well as operating its own study centres across Europe, North America and Australasia. As well as preparing international students for university, it also runs English language courses, teaches high school education and provides vocational training. Providence Equity Partners bought the London-based business in 2010 for £375m. David Leigh, 44, is chief executive.
