Super 8 operates three London restaurants. Its first, Smoking Goat, opened in the West End in 2014 and has since moved to Shoreditch. Next was Kiln, in Soho, winner of last year’s National Restaurant Awards. Both are influenced by the cuisine of northern Thailand. The latest, the Basqueinspired Brat, is the Michelin-starred result of a partnership with the Welsh chef Tomos Parry; its menu includes beef tartare, wood pigeon and whole turbot. Founded by directors Brian Hannon, 47, and Ben Chapman, 34, the company buys many of its ingredients from Cornwall and butchers animals in-house. Sales grew to £7.2m this year.
