Tarquin Leadbetter, 32, left a job in the City to found this Cornish gin distillery in 2012. Part of the first wave of British craft gins, it claims to have been the first gin distillery set up in the southwest in more than a century. Each bottle is hand-sealed with wax, and the five core products — four gins and one pastis — have won international awards and are stocked by Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. The company sold more than 250,000 bottles of gin last year, hitting sales of £5.1m in March, and it plans to expand internationally.
