Co-founders Tarek Nseir and Gary Glozier started TH_NK in 2004 while studying at Newcastle University. The agency now has offices in London and Newcastle, providing a range of digital services from strategy advice to digital development for clients including Sony, Nando’s, the BBC and RIM, as well as Harry Potter website Pottermore. Sales grew 50% a year, from £3.7m in 2008 to £12.7m in 2011, from organic growth and new client relationships. Private equity house Beringea invested £1m in 2009 and made another in 2011.
