In 1993, APM Group chief executive Richard Pharro founded this firm to develop an accreditation and qualification scheme for PRINCE2, the UK government’s project management system. Nineteen years on, the High Wycombe firm operates 24 such accreditation programmes in 22 languages, in countries including the UK, US, China, Australia, India, Malaysia and across Europe. Organisations that have taken APM-managed certificates range from Disney and Vodafone to the team running a large hospital in Saudi Arabia. International sales grew 36% a year, from £4.9m in 2009 to £9.1m in 2011.
