Managing director John Clark, 67, founded a showroom in Aberdeen in 1973 to sell sports cars to people working in the city’s booming oil industry. The group now runs 11 franchises across 21 dealerships in northeast Scotland. The family business sold more than 20,000 vehicles for the first time last year, and sales rose 33% to £470m, partly boosted by the acquisition of four new Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships.
