Grant Macfarlane, 42, created this digital marketing agency in 2009 as a sister company to a business he had founded in his native South Africa 18 months earlier. Focusing at first on paid search, The Media Image now also works on search engine optimisation, social media and design for clients such as the cosmetics company Avon and the money transfer website Azimo. Projects include improving pay-per-click results for the bookmaker Coral during the Cheltenham Festival. Sales hit £10.3m in 2016.
