Led by its co-founders Robin Shenfield and Pat Joseph, The Mill creates digital visual effects – its work has been used in advertising campaigns for Adidas, Nike, Ford, Sony and Barclaycard. In April 2011 the private equity firm Equistone bought a majority stake in a deal that valued the company at £119m. It has studios in London, New York and Los Angeles, and international sales grew 25% a year, from £25.1m in 2009 to £39m in 2011.
