You can’t drink the pina coladas sold by Asquith and Somerset, a brand owned by The Somerset Toiletry Company. According to founder Sakina Bowhay, a qualified aromatherapist, the firm’s cocktail-scented body washes and soaps are its top sellers. Its toiletries are sold to shops and distributors in 30 countries, with more than half of its revenue coming from America. Bowhay’s husband Roger, a serial entrepreneur, provided seed capital for the business, whose sales have grown 157% a year from £272,000 in 2000 to £4.6m in 2003.
