Its brands, including Swift, Sterling and Sprite, are sold to holidaymakers in Europe and as far afield as New Zealand and South Korea. Exports reached £12.5m in 2014 under managing director James Turner, 45, who led a partial management buyout in 2012 from the founder’s son, Peter Smith, 65.
