THG has deployed a £10m aid package to support vulnerable communities during the pandemic and donated a further £2m worth of PPE. It also reserved its two central Manchester hotels for the complimentary use of police and NHS staff. It has an online empire of more than 200 health and beauty websites, including Myprotein and Lookfantastic, and proprietary technology that allows it to control everything from production to marketing and distribution. Under founder and chief executive Matt Moulding, 48, THG is building a £150m logistics hub at Manchester airport and plans to operate a fleet of planes to speed up deliveries. It is backed by investors including KKR, and was valued at more than £3.25bn in 2018.
