Its systems are used in 65 countries and last year it opened its first American office, in California. Co-founders Michael Whitfield, 55, and Chris Bruce, 39, secured funding from the American private equity firm ABRY in 2013, valuing the company at £100m. New clients and an increase in recurring revenue drove profits to £8.6m in 2012.
