The documentation-generation software produced by Thunderhead is a hit with investment banks that are eager to streamline their trade communications. The company says that insurers and retail banks are also adopting the software to enhance customer communications for policies, correspondence and a range of client documents. Customers include Morgan Stanley, Bupa, Royal Bank of Scotland, Prudential and Alliance & Leicester. Glen Manchester, who founded the Elstree company in 2001 and owns it outright, is now planning to expand in America and in new markets such as the public sector. Sales have grown 98% a year from £1.9m in 2004 to £7.4m in 2006.
