Chairman Tim Radford established this Nottinghamshire telephony company after selling his previous start-up, Project Telecom, for £162m to Vodafone in 2003. Timico handles fixed, mobile, internet and Voip telephony services for small and medium-sized businesses, giving them a single point of contact and one bill. Clients include the kitchenware maker Bodum. In 2006 it raised £3m in funding from business angels and this year it acquired the independent service provider KeConnect for £2.5m. Sales have soared 254% a year from an annualised £528,000 in 2004 to £6.6m in 2006.
