The Derby firm is a subcontract designer and manufacturer of electronic equipment for the leisure industry. Clients such as RX Technologies supply cameras and videos to leisure parks from Alton Towers to Paramount Studios in California. The company was founded in 1996 by Warwick Adams and John Hislop, who named it after the highest peak in Northern California’s Sequoia National Park, where they had had a great holiday. Sales have climbed 106% a year, from £1.3m in 1998 to £5.7m in 2000.
