This firm trades in endowment policies, buying them from homeowners who need to release some cash and selling them on to investment groups. Known to the outside world as AAP, the TIS Group is majority-owned by Promethean Investments after a £72m deal last year. At the time it announced plans to raise £50m by floating the company on the Alternative Investment Market but has since postponed this. Now led by executive chairman Arnie Iversen and chief executive Dan Farrow, the company has grown profits 53% a year, from £4.4m in 2004 to £15.9m in 2007.
