Ever bought a new DVD player but couldn’t work out how to use the remote? TMTI, which stands for Talk Me Through It, runs telephone-based and online services to guide confused consumers through such minefields. Its clients include Vodafone and retailers such as Woolworths and Homebase. Founders Crispin and Geremy Thomas, who are brothers, claim these companies save £2 in reduced administration and product returns for every £1 they spend buying access to TMTI’s services for their customers. The Somerset company also has offices in Switzerland and Canada, and franchised operations in 10 other countries. Sales have grown 63% a year from £1.9m in 2005 to £5.1m in 2007.
