Tech Track 100

As more local councils hand out fines for parking and traffic offences, there is more demand for Traffic Support’s systems. The firm, launched with £3m from Granville Capital, develops the software and provides technical support for a paperless system of enforcing penalties for drivers who, for example, park on yellow lines or ignore no-right-turn signs. Bob Johnson says that since he founded the company in 2000 its software has been used to process £125m of parking and traffic fines for clients such as Westminster City Council. Sales have grown 58% a year from £1.4m in 2002 to £3.5m in 2004.
