Trailfinders helped to repatriate 20,000 travellers during the pandemic and said that it had refunded £115m to customers by mid-June. Former SAS officer Mike Gooley, 83, launched the firm in 1970 to sell discount trips to Australia, and it has since tailored travel packages, such as North America fly-drives and Indian Ocean beach escapes, for more than 16 million customers. It is led by chief executive Toby Kelly, 46. Sales represent the gross value of air travel, hotels and other services.
