This Caerphilly-based firm supplies paper-based packaging products, from paper straws to folding cartons and other types of containers aimed at reducing single-use plastic. Following the Covid-19 outbreak, it converted part of its facilities and has now produced more than 15m recyclable face visors, made from reinforced paper boards, for the NHS. Chief executive Lorenzo Angelucci, 54, co-founded the firm in 2017 and has grown sales from an annualised £22k in 2018 to £2.7m last year. In June this year, it raised £10m in an equity round led by IW Capital. It forecasts sales will more than triple to £10m in 2020, and reach £25m in 2021, as bans on plastic straws and other single-use plastics come into effect in the UK from this October and the EU from July next year.
