The company’s Global Vision software co-ordinates information and facilitates transactions between commodity traders in different locations. Founder Edmund Hor’s first clients were in the energy and commodities sector. Eleven years later, Trayport’s software has been installed on 4,000 trading screens worldwide and is now used in new areas, such as the trading of freight. Sales grew 85% a year from £1.1m in 2001 to £3.7m in 2003, when the company made a good profit.
