Brothers Darren and Noel McKee have been the driving force behind one of Britain’s largest car supermarkets, Carcraft, since buying out their father for £50m in 1998, with backing from Royal Bank of Scotland. The group, founded in 1951, stocks 8,000 new and used cars at six sites in Rochdale, Newport, Leeds, Darlaston, Knowlsey and Leeds. Carcraft had sales of £273.1m in 2004. The brothers are now the sole owners, having bought out RBS earlier this year.
