London-based Ukash helps people make payments online without giving out bank or card details. Customers use cash to buy online vouchers, which they can then spend on sites including Skype, Facebook, and gambling sites including Bet365 and Paddy Power. It has grown its product line to include reloadable MasterCard cash cards and a mobile payments application. Ukash started overseas expansion in 2006 and now operates in 58 countries. Under chief executive David Hunter, sales have grown 65% a year from £4.4m in 2009 to £19.8m in 2012.
