Uniservity provides specialist software to schools, universities and organisations within the voluntary sector to help with information sharing, communication and e-learning. Schools are using its software to make lesson content, learning materials and information available to children and parents at home. The company was founded by brothers Alan, Barry and Colin Wood and secured the first customers for its software in 2001. Sales have grown 85% a year from £358,000 in 2001 to £1.2m in 2003. The company claims that 7% of English secondary schools are customers.
