Vashi Dominguez, 40, set up this firm as an online diamond sales platform in 2007 after several years as a diamond wholesaler and is its chairman and chief executive. Vashi made the jump to bricks and mortar in 2016, and its four shops contribute about 40% of its sales, which hit £20.7m last year. They are designed to be comfortable and fun, with a laid-back atmosphere and workshops where customers can personalise their rings. The firm has been backed by a number of private investors and is aiming to enter the Japanese market.
