This airline group reported a 5% drop in revenues in 2015 to £2.8bn, but cost-cutting and its transatlantic tie-up with Delta Air Lines helped it remain profitable for the second year running. Virgin Atlantic was founded in 1984 by Sir Richard Branson, 65, and is led by chief executive Craig Kreeger, 56. In March, the firm announced it will fly direct from Manchester to San Francisco and Boston next summer.
