Founder Sir Richard Branson, 62, and new chief executive Craig Kreeger, 53, launched Virgin Atlantic’s latest service, a UK domestic airline, in April. Little Red connects the airline’s Heathrow hub with Manchester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Kreeger joined from American Airlines in February to lead a turnaround of the loss-making airline, whose sales grew 5% to £2.9bn in 2013. Delta Air Lines is currently buying Singapore Airlines’ 49% stake in Virgin, and the deal is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
