Visage

Founded in 1981 in South Shields, Visage supplies own-brand as well as customer-branded lines of clothing. The company designs, manufactures and distributes its products mainly in Britain and Ireland. In September 2005, Bank of Scotland—now Lloyds Banking Group— backed a £100m management buyout led by founder’s son Raj Sehgal and chief executive Sanjeev Mehan. A handbag and accessory division is the group’s latest addition. Sales hit £160.1m in 2008.
