Waracle specialises in digital innovation and mobile app development in highly regulated markets such as healthcare, financial services and energy. It was founded in Dundee in 2007, and has developed apps for customers such as Virgin Money, the NHS and Scottish Power. In recent years, Waracle has broadened its remit to include a wide range of emerging technologies, such as the internet of things and AI, and moved into virtual and augmented reality with the acquisition of Mozenix, another Dundee firm, last year. BGF invested £4.8m in 2019 and the company, led by chief executive Chris Martin, 51, hit sales of £11.8m last year.
