Watson Petroleum

Chairman Tony Watson started his business in 1957, delivering fuel to Wiltshire homes from a railway shed in Swindon. Today his son, Tony, runs 38 depots and a fleet of 200 distinctive red tankers delivering oils and lubricants to domestic, industrial and agricultural customers across England. The company also provides fuel purchase cards to corporate fleet customers. A rebranding exercise in 2006 and a series of acquisitions helped to increase sales to £500.1m in 2009.
