Private equity firm LDC invested £30m last month to fuel the growth of this surveillance products supplier, which sells CCTV systems and body cameras to clients such as construction firms, the police and the NHS. The Rochdale business was founded 20 years ago by chairman Tim Williams, 61, and is led by chief executive David Gilbertson, 54, with economies of scale helping profits grow to £2.8m in the year to July 2020. Product development, such as live transmission surveillance cameras, has helped drive exports to the American market, where the company set up an office in Dallas in 2015. With a client renewal rate in excess of 90% and increasing demand for security, the company expects sales to rise 35% to £19m this year.
