World Design & Trade (WDT) is the company behind the fashionable clothing brands Sonneti, Firetrap and Full Circle, which are aimed at the under-thirties and sold at shops such as House of Fraser and Selfridges. Mainly a wholesaler, WDT also operates two stand-alone Firetrap stores in Leeds and Covent Garden, where it also has a Full Circle shop. Asbed Momdjian, chief executive, founded the company in 1981 after completing a fashion diploma in Manchester. Originally menswear labels, the launch of the female Full Circle and Sonneti ranges in 2001 has helped to boost sales. Profits rose 76% a year from £1.5m in 2001 to £8.3m in 2004.
